Chimper #1353
The old frogs of Waterfall City have a saying: “A fierce current can hide a sweet spring.” Jakurou, a devout follower of Itan-sha, certainly looked fierce. They stalked the plaza with a bloodthirsty grin, their heretical eyes making even the toughest warriors step aside. Most believed they were contemplating dark rituals. In reality, they were contemplating the perfect ratio of flour to sugar. Their closest companion, a tiny frog baker who was utterly unintimidated by them, insisted the forbidden knowledge they shared was not about cosmic destruction, but about a legendary sponge cake recipe. Jakurou was initially offended, but the baker proved their point with a slice of honey-drenched perfection. These days, the pair can be found by the lower docks, arguing over glaze consistency while Jakurou wears a slice of their latest victory on their head.
