Chimper #1427
Sumireho’s tactical goggles are a long-running joke in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. While the Rock Wizards feel for the flow of ambient magic, Sumireho insists on seeing it, tracking the faint energy signatures within the crystals. They were tempered alongside Daiyamondo, and where their famous peer commanded raw, explosive talent, Sumireho was seen as quiet and overly cautious. When Daiyamondo left, the great mages wrote Sumireho off as a failed experiment. But they stayed, discovering that nurturing a crystal's latent power was more effective than shattering it. Their gentle approach, once seen as a weakness, now allows them to coax monoliths into forming shields no brute force could create. The wizards may not understand their methods, but they respect a warrior who can pacify a rogue crystal golem without leaving a single crack.
