Kansuke

Kansuke did not request a partner, especially one whose armor reflected the golden spires of The Teikodian Empire more brightly than their own judgment. But the assignment was absolute: an 'experienced trainee' paired with a young prodigy. Their partner saw honor in direct challenges and filed reports in triplicate. Kansuke, leaning on a carved cane with a Kitsune mask hiding their true intentions, saw leverage in back-alley whispers and bribed officials. The first month was a disaster of clashing methods. The prodigy would prepare for a full-frontal assault while Kansuke had already solved the issue by trading a flask of sake for a vital password. Yet, the prodigy slowly stopped polishing their gauntlets and started watching how Kansuke listened to the city. One is the Empire's shining sword; the other is the quiet hand that tells the sword where to strike.
