Honrin

The Most Confident Lantern-Lighter on the mountain, Honrin performs their duties with unmatched flair. Every evening, as the high-altitude winds begin to bite, they set out to illuminate the path through the bamboo-lined streets, their smile never faltering. The problem is, their sense of direction is creatively awful. Honrin's beautifully lit processions have guided visiting dignitaries into sake dens, led the city guard to a startled frog-fisher's private dock, and once signaled the start of the Cherry Blossom festival a full week early. The Panda Council keeps a running tally of their misadventures, but can't bring themselves to replace them. The lanterns are always lit so perfectly, after all.
