Fukumi

Fukumi possesses a beard that speaks of ages of contemplation, yet their perpetually closed eyes tell a story of a very long nap. They were “rallied” by the chief Eiichi Chifu, which in practice meant they were politely but firmly escorted to The Heart of the Forest to act as an observer. The chief’s true motive was to stop Fukumi from draining the commune’s water supply with their mysterious, unquenchable thirst. The forest locals, however, saw a noble sage. They now compete to bring Fukumi their most elaborate fruit-infused drinks, listening intently as they mumble what is mistaken for wisdom but is actually just a detailed critique of the beverage’s flavor profile.
