Satsumi

Satsumi is known for two things in The Dragon Wastelands: their unyielding combat pole and the ridiculous ramen hat they never take off. Most fighters see it as a jest, a sign of madness perfectly suited to the scorched plateaus and howling winds. They see the stark war paint and poker face and assume a love for the fight. Even Bjorn, who stood with them as the magical storms raged, only knows that the hat appeared the day after Ten'no fell. They do not know it was a gift from someone who swore Satsumi's hands were made for broth and noodles, not for battle. That person's laughter was the last thing swallowed by the ravaged land. The hat is not a joke; it is an epitaph.
