Chimper #1859
Shiohiko scrambled up the great fish statue in the central plaza, ignoring the shouts from the frog merchants below. Itame’s psychic vision had been crystal clear: find the crimson-furred warrior of immense power. And this statue was the highest vantage point in all of Waterfall City. The vision, however, had failed to mention the slick morning mist, the angry gulls, or the fact that the statue’s fins were not handholds. The resulting tumble ended in a net full of silver-scaled eels, earning them a new scar on their cheek. It was the third such mishap. Their grand quest had so far yielded only bruises. Then, they finally saw it: a small red panda, tangled in a string of glowing festival lanterns, looking furious. The “immense power” was a stolen light source. Shiohiko commissioned the mask the next day, partly in the creature's honor, mostly to hide their face when buying fish.
