Chimper #1880
Rimeka’s eyes were designed to map escape routes through enemy territory, but they spend their days tracing the path of minnows for someone they love. They carry memories of a cold, silent laboratory shared with Tantei, a place where sight was reduced to sterile data points. After their escape, they sought refuge in the thundering anonymity of the great falls, settling in a small hut near the fishing docks. It was there they met a boat-mender who wasn't intimidated by the faint hum from their optics. Instead of questions, their new friend offered them a quiet workspace and stories of the river. Now, Rimeka uses their lanterns not for escape, but to guide their partner's boat through the pre-dawn mist, their engineered vision a tool for finding the safest passage.
