Chimper #1917
When the amber trees began their annual shedding, Tayo was sent into the wilder, greener parts of the forest on their first solo hunt. They had the green uniform, the bow, and the specs that were meant to sharpen their vision. But every arrow found a tree trunk, and every rustle in the leaves was just a squirrel laughing at them. Discouraged, they gave up on finding a prize boar for the village feast. Instead, they spotted a rare, delicious truffle and used their katana to pry its stubborn root from the earth. At that exact moment, the boar they'd been chasing charged from the undergrowth, tripped clean over the flying fungus, and knocked itself out against an old oak. Tayo stood there, utterly shocked. They were hailed as a hero, and the name has followed them ever since, though they maintain the truffle did most of the work.
