Sadashi

Sadashi is the finest cartographer in The Teikodian Empire. Their maps of borderlands and newly discovered ruins are prized in the palace war room, each line precise, each annotation clear. But their true work is etched in places no official will ever see: on the inside of their backpack's worn leather flap, in codes hidden within supply receipts, on scraps of parchment tucked beneath their floorboards. Before the bandana and the open road, Sadashi memorized the cold geography of a dungeon cell beneath the capital. Every crack in the stone, every drip of water was a landmark. When they were released, the Empire saw a broken subject, useful for their memory. They never thought to ask what Sadashi remembered best: the taste of helplessness and the names of everyone else left behind.
