Without fail, Busu begins each day by polishing the scar above their eye and whispering, “Beat that, Yurugi.” Their legendary rivalry echoed through The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, though not for feats of magic or might. It began when they both tried to claim the same perfectly spherical geode at a market, resulting in a clumsy tussle that sent it rolling into a chasm. Since then, their competition has been a series of escalating, accidental disasters. The scar came from trying to out-climb Yurugi to a glowing peak, only to be startled by a nesting bird and tumble into a patch of sharp-edged flora. The fren on their head, a self-appointed referee, simply holds on tight. To Busu, winning is irrelevant; the gleeful thrill of the next spectacular failure is everything.
