Chuurou

Chuurou never meant to master prismatic deflection. They were just trying to stop their cat, Mochi, from batting a fist-sized focusing crystal off a ledge. When they tripped, the gem flew, catching a senior wizard's haywire spell and harmlessly redirecting it into the sky in a shower of sunset-colored sparks. This became a pattern. They were praised for discovering a forgotten passage beneath the dark stone fortress after Mochi led them on a chase through the Mystic Cat tunnels. They accidentally invented a new form of stable energy by sneezing into a potion. The wizards now see a transcendent prodigy, whispered to be touched by Asayaka's own luck. Chuurou just sees a series of fortunate mishaps and worries they'll be found out. Their greatest magical feat remains getting Mochi to come inside when it rains.
