Fusaburou

Fusaburou is a merchant of rare goods. They sell polished gems and colourful silks to the winged chimps who drift between the floating isles, their grin a constant and disarming presence in the marketplace. Before this, Fusaburou was a shadow. They moved through fortified castles unseen, their only ledger a list of names to be crossed out. The turning point was a failed contract; left for dead after a betrayal, they were nursed back to health by the very villagers they were sent to sabotage. They traded their dark robes for a shirt and tie but kept the katana. It is a quiet reminder of the life they abandoned and the skills they never forgot. Most customers see a charming trader, but a few notice the way their eyes track every reflection.
