Chimper #2520
When the challenger arrived with armor that shone like Washi’s own, the markets of Waterfall City fell silent. Bādobappu had felt their approach for days, another ripple in a life defined by them. As one of The Champs, victory had become a tedious habit, and their final evolution had only sharpened a power that no longer brought them joy. They had wandered from realm to realm, not seeking glory, but a reason for it. Now, another warrior stood before them at the foot of the great falls, blade drawn, speaking of honor and destiny. Bādobappu didn’t look at the weapon. They looked at the challenger's eyes, searching for the fire they themselves had lost. Their hand rested on their own hilt, still. The roar of the water was the only sound.
