Chimper #2693
In The Heart of the Forest, it's said the amber leaves absorb the worries of those who walk beneath them. Kakomi arrived weighed down by a lifetime of battles, their tactical goggles still scanning for threats in the peaceful clearings. They sought an audience with Aki, hoping the spirit could teach a warrior how to find stillness. Akiโs guidance was not a lecture, but a simple nod towards a quiet grove where a musician was coaxing a melody from a wooden flute. Kakomi listened, first for discordant notes, then simply for the beauty of the sound. The musician later showed them how the light filtered through the canopy, a pattern far more intricate than any battlefield map. The wrinkled lines around Kakomi's mouth, once etched by vigilance, now soften when they hear that flute. The goggles are still there, but theyโre mostly for keeping the sun out of their eyes.
