Chimper #2998
The glowing lantern Tsuguho wears is never truly off, even when unlit. Its polished glass catches the last rays of the sunset, fracturing the light into a thousand colours against the unshakable monoliths that dot the highlands. Every evening, they sit with a soft cloth and a small bottle of oil, polishing the frame and cleaning the crystal lens. The battle jacket lies folded nearby, but this ritual is as important as any combat training. They push their specs up their nose, peering closely to ensure no smudge remains. Others carry light to banish great evils. Tsuguho just wants to make sure the path home is always clear.
