Sadanosuke

The perpetual rain in The Dragon Wastelands creates fog so thick it plays tricks on the mind, conjuring phantom beasts and misplaced memories. Sadanosuke’s job is to guide travelers through it, but their own constant companion is one such trick that decided to stay. The small, illusory dragon, which they begrudgingly call “Glimmer,” is a terrible navigator but an excellent critic of their fashion choices, particularly the raspberry pink visor. The visor was a gift, meant to pierce the magical mists. It mostly just makes the skeletal remains look festive. Sadanosuke tries to maintain a professional air, their guiding lanterns held high, but it's hard to seem stoic when Glimmer is trying to “help” by bumping the lights toward a patch of glowing, highly poisonous fungi. They argue in a language of stern gestures and playful, shimmering light. One is the guide; the other is the hazard.
