Chimper #3522
Haname did not believe in partnerships. Years spent as a solitary warrior taught them that allies were liabilities, especially within the gilded halls of The Teikodian Empire where loyalty was a currency traded daily. Then they were assigned a โminderโโa young, idealistic guard fresh from training, convinced of the Empire's grandeur. The guard saw honor in the gold spires; Haname saw the rot in the foundations. When they stumbled upon a smuggling ring operating from the palace dungeons, the guard wanted to report it. Haname knew that would be a death sentence. Instead, Haname taught the youngster how to be invisible, and in return, the guard showed Haname which shadows were safe. One rarely sees the old warrior without the young guard now, a fallen leaf and a polished spear moving as one.
