Chimper #3540
Ranaka remembered the exact taste of river spray on their tongue the first time they saw Orime. They had been trying to look menacing, leaning against the grand fish statue in the city plaza with a choc stick dangling from their lips. Their demonic eyes and cold rogueโs haori usually did the trick, sending other chimps scurrying. Orime, however, just tilted their head. Thinking they needed to try harder, Ranaka took a step forward, but their fishing rod, slung over their back, caught on a statue fin. They stumbled, the rod clattered to the stone, and the choc stick flew from their mouth, landing perfectly in Orime's outstretched hand. Orime took a bite, smiled, and said, โLooking for someone?โ Ranaka hasn't successfully intimidated anyone since.
