Chimper #3792
"You want to know what the nobles are thinking? Forget the war room, go buy lunch from Nakaba." That's what the couriers say. Every day, Nakaba sets up their stall by the river that flows through The Teikodian Empire, the golden spires of the palace reflected in the water. They are a simple artisan, known for two things: perfectly grilled fish and the strange recon headset they never take off. "For the old radio plays," they'll murmur if asked. Guards and officials vent their frustrations while they eat, and Nakaba listens patiently, their gaze always distant. But the headset isn't tuned to stories. It deciphers scrambled communications from the palace. The fishing rod's handle is a transmitter. The friendly cook is the most dangerous spy in the capital.
