Chimper #3285
Tsujihiko never intended to win the All-Realm Fishing Tournament. They certainly did not want the grand prize: an exclusive contract to supply the kitchens of The Teikodian Empire. But their cast was lucky, the fish was a record-breaker, and now they live in a city whose gold spires are too bright and whose smiles are too sharp. They wear the kitsune mask and pink visor to blunt the glare of polished marble and the gazes of court officials who find their simple apron amusing. Their only anchor in this overwhelming world is Uise, a rival chef who scoffs at their provincial cooking. Every day is a silent battle of flavors, a competition that is the only honest interaction Tsujihiko has. Losing to Uise is frustrating, but the thought of winning is somehow even more terrifying.
