Chimper #4088
The deepest roots can still produce a restless branch; it's a saying the elders in The Heart of the Forest use for the young and adventurous. For Chiwano, it feels more like a diagnosis. They were adopted by the same wild tribe that took in Kiti, learning to laugh and share with a warmth that settled in their eyes. But unlike Kiti, who found freedom in a forgotten past, Chiwano is tormented by it. The katana on their back was found with them, a piece of a life they cannot access. They smile for their found family, a perfect copy of the joy around them. But the unease never leaves their mouth. Every journey away from home is a search, not for adventure, but for an echo of who they were.
