In Waterfall City, they say the quietest pools hide the sharpest rocks, a proverb most chimps apply to riverbeds, not to the dreamy merchant selling polished stones by the plaza. Chieri was simply enjoying their breakfast toast when a brash warrior tried to intimidate them, knocking the jam-covered meal from their hand. Startled and genuinely upset about the wasted berries, Chieri flailed their carved cane in frustration. They meant only to shoo the nuisance away. But for a split second, the battle fury of Hiro surged through their limbs. The cane connected with the warrior's shield, shattering it into a thousand pieces and sending the bully tumbling into the great fish statue. Chieri just blinked, utterly bewildered, and picked a bit of jam from their cheek.
