Chimper #4372
In Armaria, they say a steady hand can carve a gem or cleave a foe; for most of their life, Shirubia’s hands were known only for the former. They were a confectioner, famed for spinning crystal sugar into replicas of the magical monoliths that spun over the highlands. Their katana was a wall decoration, a relic from a grandparent they barely knew. But when bandits swept through the lower city while the wizards were busy consulting the stars, Shirubia found the blade felt heavier—and more natural—than they ever expected. They moved with a chef's economy, parrying blows like they were turning dough. The food apron stayed on, a strange banner in the chaos. The bandits fled from a baker. Shirubia’s shop in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria is now the safest in the city, and the blade is kept sharp enough to slice a foe, or a perfectly ripe papaya.
