Chimper #4397
The fishing float Sūkikyō carries is not magical. It is scarred, sun-bleached wood, a relic from a life they never intended to leave behind. They were content at the bottom of Waterfall City, mending nets and trading stories with the frog merchants. But when a rampaging water beast threatened the lower districts, Sūkikyō’s defense was so fierce, so instinctual, it awakened a power they never knew they possessed. The final battle sent a shockwave through the city, a transformation so absolute that Washi themself descended to witness it. They were named one of The Champs, an undefeated master. Yet the title felt like a cage. The roar of the crowd drowned out the gentle rush of the river. Sūkikyō took their float and simply walked away from the pedestal.
