The merchants in the plaza insist they are a peerless visionary, claiming they once foresaw a supply shortage by staring at the great fish statue until their eyes watered. The truth, as their cat would attest if it could be bothered, is that Masusaburou is just very good at napping in strategically important places. Their famed transcendence was the result of dozing off on a warm rock that happened to be a forgotten spirit conduit. Even the mighty Washi, upon witnessing their accidental triumphs, could only remark that Masusaburou achieved by tripping what others spend lifetimes striving for.
