Chimper #4468
To the cartographers of The Teikodian Empire, Takiyo is a peerless explorer. To their fiercest rival Hayame, they are an infuriatingly cheerful wanderer who trips over ancient relics by accident. The imperial scribes document Takiyo’s findings with reverence: maps of coastlines no one knew existed and precise locations of forgotten ruins. They speak of a patient, observant mind. Hayame tells a different story, one of Takiyo getting hopelessly lost in a storm, only to wash ashore on an island containing a lost temple. They claim Takiyo’s octopus companion points out secrets with a curious tentacle while Takiyo is busy chasing butterflies. Hayame studies, plans, and calculates; Takiyo just smiles and follows the tide.
