Hakurei

The Unwilling Champion of the Great Panda City once only wanted to sweep fallen petals from the bamboo-lined streets. They wore a cheap tiger disguise for the amusement of local children, a simple life they cherished. That peace shattered when a corrupted spirit, its flame an unholy white and black, threatened a grove of ancient cherry trees. Hakurei didn't think; they just moved. Their Sakura Katana, a tool for pruning, became a blur of steel and blossoms. The surge of protective energy changed them, awakening a power they never sought. Sensei, visiting the Panda Council, witnessed it all and gave a single, slow nod—sealing Hakurei's fate. Now, acolytes ask for wisdom, and Hakurei answers with a startled blink, forever surprised that anyone is talking to them. They still wear the tiger disguise, hoping it's too absurd for a hero, but the disguise no longer works.
