Chimper #4743
Shingo is a dragon hunter. The only problem is that The Teikodian Empire has no dragons. They arrived weeks ago, lured by a contract describing a 'scaled, fire-breathing terror' that turned out to be the Imperial Chef's malfunctioning grill. Now, their dragonslayer blade feels absurdly heavy against the backdrop of gold spires and white marble. Their salmon headwear, practical for blending into misty riverbeds, earns them strange looks from court officials. Still, a hunter must hunt. Shingo now applies their legendary tracking skills to finding rare truffles for palace feasts or locating pampered pets lost in the gemstone gardens. They approach each task with the same unblinking intensity, sipping strawberry milk as they follow a trail of fluff. The pay is excellent, but sometimes, they just stare at the serpentine beasts woven into tapestries, a silent promise to themself.
