Chimper #4744
The smell of damp earth and amber leaves clings to Koo's cloak, a scent that seems to follow them even when they appear, as if from nowhere, in a sunlit clearing. The others in The Heart of the Forest see only the gleeful eyes and the wide grin, a stark contrast to the quiet life of an outcast. They were once a wanderer of the wilder, greener edges, their arctic fur drawing suspicious glares. Loneliness was a cold stone until they found it: a crack in an ancient tree that wasn't a crack at all. It was a threshold. Inspired by tales of Kiti finding a home, Koo found their own. It is a silent grove where the light is always soft, and they are its only resident. The heart they wear so openly is a decoy; their true joy is a guarded secret.
