Chimper #658
The fishers at the docks of Waterfall City claim Hyouka's tactical goggles are fused to their face. The merchants in the plaza whisper that the ancient sabre on their back has never once been drawn. Everyone sees the Lightspeed Suit, a constant grey blur running messages up and down the great stone stairs. But no one can explain the slice of cake they wear on their head. The oldest chimps, however, remember a time before the suit, before the perpetually shocked expression. They remember two siblings, Hyouka and Nanhi, who promised to share that exact cake. Then one day, Nanhi was gone. Hyouka has been running ever since, each delivery a frantic search. The cake isn't a celebration; it's a question, a beacon, and a promise waiting to be fulfilled.
