Chikaya

Chikaya was supposed to be a greeter. Their partner, Seikichi, had insisted the notice for new arrivals at The Great Panda City mentioned a ‘martial demonstration.’ In a show of solidarity, Chikaya applied the most intimidating war paint they could find. The notice had actually said ‘musical demonstration.’ Now, every visitor to the city is met not by a friendly face, but by a beret-wearing trainee with fierce markings who looks ready to repel an invasion. The Panda Council finds it bewildering, Seikichi is too embarrassed to explain, and Chikaya, being practical, has simply decided this is their job now. They offer newcomers directions and complimentary bamboo shoots with a grim intensity that terrifies everyone into being polite.
