Izayoi

Izayoi did not earn the Dragonslayer Blade in a flurry of scales and fire. They earned it with a single, freshly caught river trout. They were a young explorer then, casting lines at the bottom of Waterfall City, when a shadow fell over the churning water. It was Ryu-senshi, escaped from imperial clutches for a fleeting, exhausted moment. Izayoi saw not a monster, but a weary traveler. Without a word, they offered their catch. The great warrior accepted the simple meal, and in return, nudged the massive blade forward with a claw before leaving a single, iridescent scale in its place. Izayoi has carried both ever since. The blade's name isn't a boast of a past victory; it's a quiet promise for a future liberation.
