Renako

The Stunned Sage, the apprentices call them, though never to their face. They say Renako was once the most patient teacher in the highlands, that their lessons on swordplay mirrored the slow, beautiful sunsets over the monoliths. But the rock wizards tell a darker tale. They whisper that Renako grew obsessed with the great spinning crystals above the midnight fortress, convinced they held a cosmic truth. One evening, they climbed to the highest peak alone. No one knows what they saw reflected in those arcane stones, but they returned with that look frozen on their face.
