The azure blue visor Tekona wears isn't enchanted. It has no special properties, grants no arcane sight, and certainly can't decipher the humming runes on the floating monoliths. It just keeps the relentless glare of the sunset reflecting off every crystal surface from giving them a splitting headache. They arrived in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria chasing a bounty, Dragonslayer Blade ready. But the target was a wizard who simply vanished into thin air, leaving Tekona with empty pockets in a city that runs on intellect, not steel. These days, they earn their keep hauling uncut spell-gems for a forgetful magician. The great blade on their back mostly just gets in the way. They’re learning the difference between a quartz resonator and a scrying shard, not because they want to, but because survival demands it.
