Chimper #988
Chihogi the Chimp was never meant to have a partner. They were a creature of shadowed corridors and forgotten maps within The Teikodian Empire, their psychedelic eyes a constant, humming reminder of an experiment gone wrong. They navigated the capital’s gilded decay alone, the scars on their face marking encounters they’d only survived through cold calculation. Then they found Piko, a cartographer so optimistic they believed a smile could deflect a thrown dagger. Piko was supposed to be mapping the cherry blossom groves but ended up in the palace dungeons. After a reluctant rescue, Piko refused to leave, dubbing their savior “the Chimp” with infuriating cheer. Chihogi’s meticulous plans are constantly derailed by Piko’s luck, and their grim silence is broken by endless chatter. It’s an maddening, unpredictable, and strangely effective partnership.
