Chimper #989
In Waterfall City, history is a current, pulling the old down into the riverbed. For years, Rimomo was just part of that flow, a quiet wanderer with a rusted sabre and a shy disposition, trading stories for fish and keeping to themself. But the sabre felt heavy with a past they didn't know, a weight that eventually led them to seek out whispers of the Mummified. They found Kodai not as a monster, but as a silent, solemn guide. Together, they traveled to ruins where the falls began. There, Kodai pointed not to treasure, but to weathered carvings of the sabre's first wielder. Rimomo learned it wasn't a weapon of conquest but an oath of protection. They returned to the city changed; the blush still warms their face, but now there's an unshakable stillness in their hands.
