Chimper #991
Ichiniko did not set out to become the most suspicious baker in the highlands. Quite the opposite; they once crafted delicate sugar sculptures that perfectly mimicked the glowing monoliths and beautiful sunsets of their home, trusting every patron and every ingredient. That all changed during the annual Festival of Flavors. Their masterpiece, a towering croquembouche spun with magically infused sugar, was meant to be their magnum opus. Instead, a wizardly rival swapped their sugar for popping rocks. The resulting explosion sent cream puffs flying past the fortress as dark as midnight. While no one was harmed, Ichiniko's pride was atomized. These days, they wear their apron like armor and their beret like a helmet, squinting at every customer as if they're about to rig a muffin with a firecracker.
