Niiyo

Niiyo was meant to be the most formidable guardian in The Teikodian Empire. Their lineage is pure arctic, their scars are from genuine conflict, and their calm is unnervingly deep. The problem is the magical display fused to their face, an artifact that cycles through pixelated images of dancing fruit and badly drawn sunsets. They took a cursed blow meant for a previous charge, gaining both the scar and the whimsical affliction in one moment. Now assigned to protect Kikutoshi, Niiyo is known as the court's most baffling warrior. It is difficult to project authority when a cartoon fish swims across your brow during a tense negotiation. Most foes dismiss them as a fool, but Kikutoshi knows the truth. They have seen how attackers become transfixed by the hypnotic lights, never noticing the silent warrior moving within the distraction.
