Chimper #1723
The fishers at the bottom of Waterfall City swear Ayakane arrived on a stolen skiff, laughing as the guards gave chase. Merchants in the upper plaza insist they are the disgraced heir of a noble house, playing the part of a humble trainee to escape a dark past. Ayakane encourages both stories with a disarming smile and never offers a third. They bumble through training exercises with a theatrical clumsiness that doesnโt quite match the veteran calm in their eyes. Theyโve never lost a sparring match they couldnโt talk their way out of first. The wear on their katana hilt speaks of a thousand battles, not a few weeks of practice. Is the playful trainee the act, or is the master swordsman?
