Yumesaki

The fishers down in Waterfall City will tell you that a scholar who carries a Dragonslayer Blade is a walking contradiction. But they always say it quietly, especially when Yumesaki is with Zenchi. Before they were a pair, Yumesaki was simply a researcher, obsessed with the demonic curse described in ancient texts. They found the theory, but Zenchi was the living, tormented proof. During the dangerous purification ritual, as Zenchi fought the demons within, Yumesaki stood guard, wielding the greatsword not with skill but with pure, desperate determination. Both emerged from the ordeal cleansed and forever bound. Zenchi carries the ascended blade; Yumesaki carries the memory of its cost, and a salmon on their head to remember the cool, clear-flowing resolve that saved them both.
