That changed during the district purges. As guards sealed the exits, Suisei lit their lanterns not to see, but to be seen. They carved a path of light through forgotten tunnels, leading the trapped to safety. The shadow became a rumor of hope. But a mission to observe Eirian shattered them. Witnessing raw cosmic force warp reality, Suisei understood true darkness—a void their light could never fill, only provoke. That fear remains.
