Chimper #52
There's an old saying in The Teikodian Empire: a lit lantern casts the sharpest shadow. As a child, Erimi was the undisputed champion of hide-and-seek among the palace's white marble pillars, their laughter echoing moments before they vanished completely. Later, the game became training. They wore the mask for the first time, the relaxed fabric of their tee a secret comfort beneath the stiff leather of their gear as they learned to scale the golden spires. It was in the cold laboratories deep beneath the capital that they felt itโa piercing hum of raw cosmic power, a presence like Eirian that made the gilded prison above feel impossibly small. These days, they carry two lanterns: one to find the way, and one to choose the darkness they walk through.
