Chimper #241
Riseko was taught that trust was a weapon. Uragirimono demonstrated this lesson perfectly, leaving them for dead on a mission that was never meant to succeed. Riseko crawled to Waterfall City with that cold knowledge as their only companion. Downstream, where the houses huddle against the spray of the falls, they met a net-mender who told the most wonderful, obvious liesโthat the fish sang at dawn, that the river mist could mend broken bones. They were terrible at deception, and for Riseko, that was everything. The net-mender gave them a carved cane and a white bandana, not as gifts, but as a dare to start over. Riseko's grin is a rebellion against the past, an optimistic lie they are determined to make true.
