Taishi

When the great deceiver Azamuku summoned a phantom tsunami to smash Waterfall City, Taishi didn't see a threat; they saw the theme park ride of their dreams. While others fled, Taishi, peering through a raspberry visor stacked precariously on a Kitsune mask, waddled towards the wave, yelling questions about height restrictions. They cornered one of Azamuku’s disguised acolytes, not to fight, but to complain about the lack of a proper queue. The acolyte, utterly bewildered by this determined chimp, tried to explain the impending doom. Taishi just thought they were being difficult. This absurd, earnest confusion was something Azamuku's dark magic hadn't planned for, and the grand illusion flickered and died. Taishi is now hailed as a hero, but they'll always be a little bitter they never got to ride the wave.
