In Waterfall City, the fastest way down is always the water, but the slowest way out is a reassignment to the fishing fleet. This is where they put the charming failures, and where Nui now spends their days. They were supposed to be a promising operative, but their career ended during a stakeout on the lower docks. Just as they leaned in to overhear a crucial secret, their mind flooded with an unsolicited psychic vision from Itame: the precise way to grind a crystal into a bubbling potion. The distraction sent Nui tumbling into a net, earning them a scar from a very surprised and very angry river crab. Their superiors, baffled, gave them a fishing rod and a new life. Nui is still trying to master it, mostly by charming other chimps into sharing their catch.
