Naruyo

Naruyo wears the mask of a shadow operative but carries the fishing rod of a daydreamer. That's what the trainees at The Dojo whisper amongst themselves. They see Naruyo spend entire afternoons by the lake, humming off-key tunes and offering unsolicited, terrible advice on casting techniques. One swore they saw Naruyo use their priceless sabre-tooth helm to hold bait. But the older students tell a different story. They see how Naruyo’s eyes constantly scan the paths leading from the mountains, how their relaxed posture is a coiled spring. The fishing isn't for fish, they say; it's an excuse to watch and wait. The rumor is that Naruyo carries a sealed message, one entrusted to them long ago, meant only for the leader Shokei-moji. Until that day comes, they'll just keep casting their line.
