Chimper #3170
The last of the river-stair masons saw their family’s legacy get swallowed by the falls. Aogi had spent their youth carving the very steps connecting the lower districts of Waterfall City, a trade passed down for generations. Then came the surge, a single rogue wave that tore the stone away as if it were sand, leaving behind only the shocked expression they still wear today. They couldn't touch stone after that. Instead, Aogi turned to the bamboo lining the river, learning to shape its hollow strength. It wasn’t permanent, and that was the point. These days, they travel far from home, their bamboo batch a workshop on their back. Charging into battle beside the likes of Hiro, they learned that true legacy isn't what you build, but what you protect.
