Chimper #3290
The scavengers of The Dragon Wastelands will tell you two things about Hyou. First, that their inner flame burns so hot it sizzles the endless rain into steam before it can touch their shoulders. Second, that they are hopelessly, embarrassingly in love with a local stone carver. Hyou spends weeks trekking the scorched plateaus, practicing a fearsome glare in stagnant puddles, only to arrive at the carver's cave and immediately trip over a loose rock. They once tried to offer a rare treatโa carton of strawberry milkโas a cool, romantic gesture. The resulting splash left a permanent pink stain on their face, a constant reminder of their failure to be suave. The carver just laughed and shared their own lunch. Hyou still wanders with intense focus, but it's no longer for survival; it's to find the perfect, most spill-proof gift.
