Chimper #3328
The scent of simmering broth and rain-soaked bamboo has not always filled this corner of The Heart of the Forest. Legend says Mikaka was first a carver, obsessed with capturing the forest's soul in wood. One dusk, a golden kitsune spirit appeared, challenging them to create a mask so lifelike it could make the wind itself feel hunger. For a year, Mikaka carved, living on nothing but determination. When they finally donned the finished mask, the aroma of a phantom feast was so potent that Aki themself emerged from the deep woods, drawn by the impossible scent. Aki placed a hand on the golden mask, and the phantom feast became real. The ramen Mikaka serves is not merely food; it is carved from memory, seasoned with devotion, and blessed by the forest's oldest spirit.
